There she was, high in spirits, too happy to be true… Was it real or just a fantasy? Effects of intoxication or covering up the truth painfully?
As the night moved along, memories became hazy, vision became blurry, consciousness turned imaginary… People came, people left, yet the night was still young and she, was still holding on…
Holding on to the memory of that picture perfect kiss, of that night, of that feeling she can’t stop to miss… Too scared to let go of it, too scared to forget, she wanted to remember it for a lifetime, to hear him say “Baby please be mine!”
From where did he come?
Why did it have to happen?
When things were so simple,
How on Earth did they crappen?
All she wanted was some simplicity; she needed some help to clear up the mess… One thing she knew is that, it wasn’t going anywhere, her emotions where a failed investment, she clearly accepted that fact, but in the end none of it mattered… all she wanted was that night back.
The night together was out of a fairytale movie, the kind that anyone would kill to have…
She knew she had met someone,
The one who helped flood feelings back,
Someone who took away the numbness
Someone who made the void lack…
She tried to keep her walls strong, she tried to keep the focus, but every time she heard his voice, she fell off the control locus. He made her weak, he made her strong, he felt so right, and yet so wrong. She tried to move on, she tried to replace him, but as hard as she tried to erase his face, the more it got etched onto her soul.
Any place she went to, any one she went with, he was always with her, that little voice in her head, that ghost in her bed. Every time she took a step forward, he pulled her 2 steps back instead.
Someday she hopes that this will all come to an end, that she won’t have to carry it to her grave…
Someday she hopes this pain will fade away, that she’ll find the love & there’ll be nothing more to crave!
